Job description
General Duties & Responsibilities
- Assembles electrical & electronic components, wiring harnesses, equipment rack, mechanical devices, and other electrical assemblies & sub assemblies.
- Manufacturers electronic/electrical circuitry, and wiring harnesses according to Manufacturing Orders (M.O.), Work Order (W.O.), Drawings, Engineering Changes, Customer Specifications, and Process Instructions (P.I.).
- Produces products to required specifications and within budget.
- Operates automatic stripping, crimping, wire cutting, and basic test equipment.
- Integrate and test sub-assemblies and/or final assemblies following blueprints, drawings, diagrams, and test procedures.
- Performs minor setup of non-complex equipment.
- May be required to assist with soldering on occasion.
- May complete rework on assemblies and/or systems as a result of testing.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment in line with company policies.
- Adheres to all company standards, policies, and procedures.
- Perform other tasks as needed.
- Education, Qualifications, & Experience
- Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Must have at least two (2) years of high reliability manufacturing experience; defense/aerospace manufacturing experience is highly desired.
- Must be capable of passing background check.
- Must be capable of passing a drug screen.
- Must be familiar with working under ISO9001 or AS9100.
- Current or previous IPC-620, IPC-610, or J-STD-001 certification preferred.
- Must be familiar with and understand IPC, J-STD, AS, and MIL specifications as they relate to Defense/Aerospace requirements in cable and harness building.
- Preferred to have knowledge of lean manufacturing processes.
- Must understand ESD processes.
- Must be experienced in cable harness build - both crimp and solder.
- Must have some solder operations experience.
- Must have harness fabrication and enclosure integration experience.
- Must have experience with specifications required to produce products in a defense/aerospace manufacturing environment.
- Must be versed in inspection techniques and specification techniques
- This position requires basic knowledge of “build to print” operations.
- Physical Requirements
- Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Position may require typing and reading through a computer screen, as well as operation of scanning equipment.
- Must have sufficient mobility to include but not limited to bending, reaching, climbing, turning, and kneeling to complete daily duties in a timely and efficient manner. Walking moderate to long distances may be required. Must be able to lift/carry/push/pull/move items frequently over 20 pounds. Occasionally required to lift/carry/push/pull/move heavy objects up to 50 pounds.

- The environmental characteristics for this position is in a manufacturing warehouse.

- Candidates may have exposures to loud noises, chemicals, and cleaning agents. Some personal protective equipment may be required for certain jobs.
